1. Acceptance of terms

By visiting this site, downloading a free framework, purchasing a tool, guide, or report, or booking an advisory or training engagement, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or our products.

2. Who can use this site

Our products and services are built for working professionals and organizations. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and if you’re using our products on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for that company.

3. Our products & services

We publish four families of products: frameworks, which are always free; tools; guides; and reports, priced individually and delivered digitally, generally through Gumroad. We also offer advisory and training services on a scoped, project basis, described further on our Advisory & Services page.

We work to keep our catalog and pricing accurate, but we may update, retire, or change the price of any product at any time. Changes won’t affect a purchase you’ve already made.

4. Purchases & payment

Paid products are processed through Gumroad, a third-party payment and fulfillment platform. Your payment information is handled directly by Gumroad under its own terms and privacy policy; we don’t collect or store your full card details.

Refunds

For digital products it is a 7-day refund window if the files haven’t been substantially used.

5. License to use our content

Free frameworks. You may use our published frameworks in your own work, including client work, and reference or cite them with attribution. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish the files themselves, or remove our branding and present the material as your own, unless you hold a separate agreement with us that says otherwise..

Paid tools, guides, and reports. When you buy one of these, we grant you a license to use it within your own organization, or, if you’re a consultant or advisor, with your own clients. 6. Advisory & training engagements

These terms describe the general use of our site and self-serve products. A specific advisory, coaching, or training engagement, scope, deliverable, timeline, and price, will be confirmed in writing, such as a proposal, statement of work, or signed agreement, before any work begins. Where that document and these terms conflict on a matter specific to the engagement, the signed document controls.

7. Intellectual property

Built to Operate owns the frameworks, tools, guides, reports, the Built to Operate name and wordmark, and the underlying phase, posture, and six I’s system, except where we’ve stated otherwise. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you; you’re receiving a license to use the material as described in License to use our content, not a transfer of rights.

8. Acceptable use

• Don’t scrape, copy, or republish our frameworks, tools, or site content beyond what your license allows.
• Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label our tools or templates as your own product.
• Don’t use the site to upload anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing on someone else’s rights.
• Don’t attempt to interfere with the site’s normal operation or security.

9. Disclaimers

Our frameworks, tools, guides, and reports are provided for informational and educational purposes. They are not legal, financial, tax, or other licensed professional advice, and using them doesn’t create an advisory or client relationship beyond a separately scoped engagement.

We build every product to a real standard, but we can’t guarantee a specific business outcome or result from using it. Our site and products are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Built to Operate isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or products, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages if a third party brings a claim against us arising from your misuse of the site or our products, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site or your license to use a product if you materially violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply after your access ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products and services evolve. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
